The Erikson and Brothers Corps

Assalamualaikum and Dear Ladies and gentleman….
As it is spread nationally, that The Erikson and Brothers Corporation is in a trouble, I am here standing before you all on behalf of that company to tell you what is going an actually, well, this company is a national company, there is no foreign intervention within, totally cultivated by itself. For the last few decades, it always makes profit and sustainably survives from any turbulence. For Indonesia, many lofty roles played by this company such as reducing the number of unemployment, conducting social devotion activities and giving scholarship for study and research.
The good things I told you, were conducted well and the profit gained was divided carefully not only for the company CEOs but also all its labors, it had Regional Wage Minimal above average more than stipulated by government. But nowadays all things in this world have changed, they follow the newest mechanism in all their activities, including marketing, then we call it ‘Globalization Era’. Indonesia, our this country, has open itself to follow that phenomenon. We do not know why, even we do not really know whether this nation has been ready for being evolved within or not. In Globalization Era there is no limitation to market products, goods produced in the USA can easily enter the Indonesian market, because in this global market, government intervention is minimum even could be nothing or just comes in vain.
And then, What is happening to our company??? the answer is the fact that the globalization market has led us into trouble. Many people consider what happens to us as a shock condition in facing the new era and they may be right, because at first when we realizes that we were in a new and different market condition from we had before, we just kept standing on ourselves, try to vie for many new our competitors that come from Europe or the US, but it was and is not as easy as we imagine, they are in high level of advancement in hi-tech usage, human resources and property, even their market are worldwide, not only Indonesia in Asia, but also Africa and Australia, meanwhile we still count on the market in the shout-east Asia, very ironic, right?
We already know that we will be in a great lost for the several next years if we don’t do any maneuvers to boost and to upgrade our product so that all the Indonesian people can give back their attention to us, that is our hope. We want to keep this nation survive no matter how hard the competition will be. Because there is a great amount of happiness for us if we can give an achievement for Indonesia among the global rivalry. The only way we can do to bring about it, is by doing Firing Work Cooperation toward our some labors and give them adequate early pension allowance, because we have to stand with not much profit that we make in this year.
Hopefully, all of you here can understand why we do that, and feel our good willingness to survive. Soon, we will open many vacancies if we can get back our stability and establish our existence as a national company giving wide opportunity to many Indonesian people to work for us, to work for this nation, thank you very much…

The Inauguration Speech of Mine at The Catalyst

Assalamualaikum
It is the catalyst toastmaster club, an English-speaking club, giving me more chances to boost my confidence in public speaking and leadership skill. I joined that club on june 2007, when I was already almost 1,5 years in my work, I knew about it by reading a brochure stickered in the wall-info of my office. Knowing about the schedule and spot, I dared my self to come and saw what toastmaster was. Then I found it interesting and helpful, really.

As the time passed by, now I have already completed several projects demanded in toastmaster, ten speeches for basic manual book and 5 speeches for two different advance manual books, for the advance, I take public speaking and occasional speech. Still, by playing roles in every single meeting conducted, I unconsciously finished my leadership manual book, for all those activities, I deserve for ACB CL (Advance Communicator Bronze Competent Leadership), a title in toastmaster educational and leadership program. Erikson Wijaya, ACB CL, I will be, one step more a head.

On the way that I enjoyed in toastmaster, I have been two times in a contest, the first one was Evaluation speech contest, I joined it on November 2008 and international speech contest that I joined on March 2009. It is the bravery to come forward and gaining more horizons being my concerns for joining a contest, it doesn’t matter whether it will end in a victory or in a lost.
Sometimes I keep asking my self, where the years had gone. I am sure it was just yesterday I was appointed as your vice president of membership, and now you give me a trusteeship to be your club president. Look back on one of the most challenging, rewarding and quickest years of my life, I can honestly say.. it’s been quite a ride!!! :D. well, it is Barrack Hussein Obama being the 44th American president, while doing so, he is creating his own history by presenting himself as the first afro-american president, and it is me standing here before you all as the president of catalyst toastmaster club and while doing this, I am creating my history by being the first guy president in this club J.

I will try my best to run my responsibility as president in this club, but it is not only me who is totally responsible for doing so, but it is all about us, the executive committees and the beloved members, by running this club together we can indeed achieve more benefit than expected. The benefit itself Is not about money and property but it is about our own self-development in leadership and communication skill. And much more than that, it is important to show it to our environment that we really have got something useful in our life after joining this club, these things will make others feel encouraged and grow their willingness to come and see what toastmaster is. Let them feel the benefit we ever got by themselves, and make them sure that we and they all have same opportunity to be good at communication and leadership, just invite them, those who live closely in our environment, but don’t force them, let them come by bringing also their curiosity and willingness, not with a coercion. Because there is no coercion in joining toastmaster and toastmaster is not a commercial club :D.

Giving support among members is an essential thing in toastmaster, never be hesitant to offer some feedbacks to us as fellow members, and I am sure that everybody here has their own time where they feel in down and missing encouragement to come and deliver speech, in this condition, we all here have a lofty duty to offer she/he an aid and inspire her/him to get a new idea to deliver a speech, because it is not good for us to leave our members friends behind too far while we keep creating our own advancement. The catalyst toastmaster club is very lucky club, we may never realize that, because we have our legendary toastmasters such as: Ibu Rosite Taufieq, Ibu Mien Soenari, Ibu Elly Juniarti, and many others who are so good at communication that we learn from them, also we have Muhammad Faizal Ahda who are very good at English grammar. We will really miss great opportunity if we don’t take our time to learn from them, they are our friend, they are here to share their skill, right? Even what I have in mind in my this presidency is I will make two regular-special sessions that I would like to call them as Speech Clinic and English Grammar Review so that those persons I mentioned above would have their time to assist us about the things that they good at.

Ok, friends.. it is our time to run this club with more optimism and beliefs that we can gain more benefit for ourselves and do not forget to share it with others outside there by showing how those skill are really helpful for our life.. Thank You :)
