Gracious Acceptance

Thank You..
Thank You, and
Thank You…
I do thank to every body for all their helps making me deserve for this award, and you know that I may never look at this without remembering the quiet patience of handful mentors who were so kind to me, who were kind enough to put up with me more than once. I trust they have forgiven me for what I did not know so that I have been privileged to be a part of Toastmasters’ most glorious era.
Round of one year and a half joining toastmasters, I was advised by my mentor, Toastmaster Mien Soenari, to compete in an International Speech Contest, and I kept questioning my own eligibility to join that. But she forced me and convinced me that every single Toastmaster, including me, has their own ability and chance to join contests held by Toastmasters International, and whenever the chance comes, that is the moment for us to learn more from a different feel.. the feel of contest.. she also helped me overcome my anxiety of a lost, she said to me not to forget this principle ‘I want to win, but I wil accept everything’. Because the most important thing in a competition is you can learn something new, and one day, you will realize that you have gained all benefits directing you to a better comprehension and you can have many things to share….
To Distinguished Toastmaster Mien Soenari.. Thank you very much :D for all the helps and advices…….
Ladies and gentleman..
Several days before the contest, I was helped by our fellow member who is excellent in English, he helped me to pronounce English words in a correct manner, so that I could perform with more confidence ,Toastmaster Muhammad Faizal Ahda, it is your action and efforts that make this happen, thank you.. thank you very much..
When the Master of Ceremony announced my name to come forward and accepted this award, my thought was really wandering somewhere, it retraced all the long way I’d passed and quickly flashbacked me to the moment when I was a newbie in The Catalyst Toastmasters Club, at that time, with a limited bravery and a great number of shyness.. public speaking was a horrible thing for me, till finally I could really feel the positive environment within this club, willingness to study and support from others..
Thanks to Toastmasters International and all members of The Catalyst Toastmasters Club, it will not be mine without all your encouragement for me… and to all members of Toastmasters Club, wherever you are, I just want to say this :
’if I can win the contest, so can you’
Back to The MC…
(The Audiences give long-standing applause)
